Jeanie Marie Buss has been an American Entrepreneur for more than twenty years. She is the current president and controlling shareholder of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. The California born Buss was raised in an affluent family. Her father Jerry Buss was a real-estate tycoon, who was later the manager of the Lakers and other sports businesses. In 1972, her parents broke up up and she felt emotionally lost. She joined her family's business when she was 19 to become the general manager for the Los Angeles Strings tennis team. The team was later renamed her own Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. Before she became vice president of the Lakers She was also the president of the Great Western Forum. Buss inherited her share of the Lakers through her father's estate in 2013. The five siblings she had inherited it through a family estate trust. Her duties were assumed as president of Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is co-owner of Women of Wrestling an pro-wrestling promotional business based out of Los Angeles.
